Daniel Fuchs, known online as “Magic Fox”, visits the Porsche factory in Leipzig before the start of the Opera Ball with its “Moscow Nights” theme.
A test drive in the 718 Cayman on the racetrack at Porsche Leipzig. Daniel Fuchs is impressed: “Perfect cornering!” A 718 Cayman in Miami Blue is the main raffle prize at this year’s Leipzig Opera Ball. The proceeds will go to local charity “Leipzig hilft Kindern” (Leipzig helping children).
How does the Macan handle off the beaten track? At the off-road course at Porsche Leipzig, Daniel Fuchs is about to find out: In a Macan S, he explores the 132-hectare nature reserve. It’s home to aurochs, wild horses, honey bees and many other wild species, all in harmony with nature.

The Porsche factory in Leipzig is ranked among the most modern and sustainable automobile factories in the world. Some 650 Panamera, Macan and Cayenne vehicles roll off the production line every day at this Porsche site in Saxony. Factory tour guide Lars Diemann explains how it works.

A journey in time through Porsche history: The exhibition in the customer centre includes current and historic vehicles. They include the Carrera GT super sports car, which was manufactured at the Leipzig factory between 2003 and 2006.

In anticipation of an unforgettable night at the Leipzig Opera Ball, Daniel Fuchs puts the finishing touches to his outfit for the evening: “I’m so excited about this evening – it's my first time at an opera ball”.
5.45 pm
Following a relaxing journey in the Porsche shuttle, Daniel Fuchs arrives on the red carpet at the Leipzig Opera House.
In the ballroom, Daniel Fuchs bumps into some members of the Porsche management team: Gerd Rupp, Manager of the Porsche factory in Leipzig, and Oliver Blume, CEO of Porsche AG, as well as numerous VIPs including German actor and Porsche fan Richy Müller.
8 pm
Daniel Fuchs enjoys the lively programme performed by the Leipzig Gewandhaus Orchestra and does a few laps of the floor in three-four time. With a wink, he declares: “Those dancing lessons have finally paid off”. Once the classical dancing programme is over, the evening’s special guest appears: Billy Ocean performs his biggest hits.
12 am
At around midnight comes another of the evening’s highlights, as CEO Oliver Blume announces the lucky winner who will receive the key to this year’s main raffle prize, a 718 Cayman.
1 am
At the end of an exhilarating evening, Daniel Fuchs gets into the Panamera and says: “My first opera ball was totally amazing! I definitely won’t forget tonight in a hurry! The ambience, the music, the crowd, the whole atmosphere – it was all perfect. But I think it’s especially cool of Porsche to do some good from this event and donate the proceeds from the raffle“.
