Unique experiences at the Porsche Golf Circle event in Pebble Beach

The Porsche Golf Circle event at Pebble Beach and the Rennsport Reunion in California fulfilled long-held dreams of Porsche Golf Community members. Rounds on Pebble Beach Resort’s legendary Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill Golf Course, the Porsche Brand Ambassador Paul Casey’s participation and the seventh Porsche Rennsport Reunion on the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca all ensured dreams came true.

Golf lovers all over the world dream of the two courses – for those attending the latest Community event, the dream of rounds on the Pebble Beach Golf Links and the Spyglass Hill Golf Course now became reality. Embedded in a spectacular programme on the Californian Pacific coast, the Porsche Golf Circle celebrated its passions for Porsche and golf in a wonderful sense of togetherness, and all this in a fabulous atmosphere. Alongside the golf courses, the highlights during the unforgettable days included a visit to the Rennsport Reunion in Laguna Seca, the largest worldwide gathering of legendary Porsche race cars and successful Porsche pilots.

Central to the event in California was the opportunity to play a round of tournament golf amidst the Community on the world-famous Pebble Beach Golf Links. Due to its stunning location on the Monterey Peninsula’s steep coastline, the course is considered to be one of the world’s most beautiful. It has also been rated America’s No. 1 course on several occasions. Its history as the multiple venue of the US Open also makes it one of the most revered places on Earth for the world’s golf lovers.

The unique experiences that the Community were able to make at the event also included a round of golf on the nearby Spyglass Hill Golf Course. Experts view the course, which together with the Pebble Beach Golf Links hosts one of the US PGA Tour’s most prestigious tournaments, as also being one of USA’s Top 5 public courses. “It’s definitely a once-in-a-lifetime experience playing both Spyglass and Pebble Beach in a single weekend, and then visiting the Porsche Rennsport Reunion. They were truly amazing days,” raved the participant James Bridges. The Community member Ejaz Chaudhry also added: “I love the Community and the teamwork behind the perfect organisation.”

Top golfer and Porsche Brand Ambassador Paul Casey also played a part in everything being a world class experience. The former world No. 3 took on the members in the Beat the Pro Contest on the Spyglass Hill Golf Course’s third hole in a closest to the pin competition. Affable and highly likeable, Casey thrilled everybody as a great person to talk to both on and off the course. Present once again at a Community event, he gave everybody detailed tips before and during the round and presented the tournament prizes on the first evening.

Alongside the unique golfing encounters, the Porsche Golf Circle members will also take away special memories of the seventh Rennsport Reunion on the WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. The Community saw legendary past and present pilots as well as current and historical cars on the track as well as in the large show – including the world premiere of the Porsche 911 GT3 R rennsport that the attendees were given an exclusive first view. At the biggest gathering of motor-racing icons and Porsche enthusiasts, they enjoyed a guided tour around the festival grounds as well as savouring the special Community spirit within the Porsche family. The Porsche Golf Circle guests also met up with other similarly minded Community members from the Porsche Clubs, the Porsche Circle or the Porsche Pioneers Circle in the Community Chalet. However, there was a not only a lively exchange of news and views live at the event but also on the Porsche Golf Circle app as members shared their experiences over the five days with the global Community.

“The event united in an inspired way the best from the three worlds of Porsche, golf and a Community that rapturously celebrated unforgettable experiences together,” says Carolin Kunz, Global Community Management of the Porsche AG. “Our Porsche and golf afficionados from a variety of countries have now fulfilled long-held dreams by visiting this unique Porsche Golf Circle event at such an iconic site. At one and the same time, they also created a fabulous atmosphere that amplified the unforgettable character of the event.”
