Richard Mansell triumphs at the 2025 Porsche Singapore Classic

The English golf professional Richard Mansell came out on top in the second edition of the Porsche Singapore Classic after finishing on 16 under par. The thrilling race for the prestigious title is the highlight of a spectacular event at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club. Off-course, the guests enjoyed an emotional Porsche brand experience revolving around the attractive hole-in-one prize: a Taycan Turbo S.

Crowning finale to an outstanding performance at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club: Richard Mansell claims the second edition of the Porsche Singapore Classic with an impressive birdie on the Classic Course’s 18th hole. The 29-year-old Englishman has therefore succeeded in winning his maiden DP World Tour tournament at his 103rd attempt. On an exciting and high-class final day, Mansell relegated Keita Nakajima into second. His 16-under par score was one shot better than the runner-up from Japan. Third place was shared by Tom McKibbin (Northern Ireland), winner of the 2023 Porsche European Open and the Frenchman Adrien Saddier.

‟It’s incredible, it’s perfect,” said a delighted and emotional victor Mansell. ‟I often came close then I was far away. I’ve battled hard and it’s been a lot of hard work up until now.” After two brilliant rounds of 66 over the weekend, the man from Lichfield in England has now finally made it to the very top. ‟It’s the moment I dreamt of when I was a kid.” One of his biggest successes was a third place at the 2022 Porsche European Open. ‟Porsche events are simply special,” said Mansell. ‟Everything is excellent, also off-course – from the courtesy car service to the absolutely beautiful Players’ Lounge.‟

The Scottish shooting star Robert MacIntyre climbed into the Top 10 – eventually placing 9th – after two excellent rounds over the weekend. Porsche Brand Ambassador Paul Casey finished joint 36th in an exceptional week in Singapore, both on and off the course. The tournament was shortened to three rounds due to heavy rain on Thursday.

‟We, together with the DP World Tour, have managed to continue the development of the Porsche Singapore Classic in its second year, and to establish it as a highlight within Porsche’s sports commitment Asia,” says Deniz Keskin, Director of Brand Management and Partnerships at Porsche AG. ‟In addition to the excellent golfing performances centring on the impressive winner Richard Mansell, visitors, guests and players were all able to enjoy an emotional brand experience. We’re delighted by the big interest shown in the tournament, especially in the Asian markets, and are proud at being able to unite the Porsche Singapore Classic with our worldwide customer golf involvements.”

Hole-in-One-Preis Taycan Turbo S

A spectacular hole-in-one prize is traditionally one of the tournament’s highlights. However, no player managed to ace the Classic Course’s famous 17th hole so that the prize, a Taycan Turbo S in Oak Green Metallic, went unclaimed. Visitors to the daily Porsche Taycan Challenge in the Spectator Village also had the chance to qualify for the shootout on the final Sunday, and then with a bit of luck secure themselves the hole-in-one prize. However, the amateurs also missed out on hitting the dream shot of dream shots onto the approximately 160-metre par 3’s island green.

Alongside the Taycan Turbo S on the 17th, Porsche provided diverse insights into its whole range of products at the Laguna National Golf Resort Club, including the new fully electric Macan. A courtesy car fleet including Taycan and Cayenne models was also available to shuttle the players to and from the venue in Singapore. After the event, interested persons will be given the opportunity to take advantage of a special offer and purchase one of the tournament Porsches.

Exclusive VIP experience for Porsche customers

Memorable experiences were had by the international Porsche Golf Circle Community guests from the Singapore, Malaysia, Korea, Japan, Taiwan, Great Britain and Germany markets, who enjoyed an exclusive VIP programme during the tournament week. They included the spectacular kick-off Players Party on the rooftop of the famous Marina Bay Sands Hotels with the tournament’s top stars. The Community also had access to the Porsche Villas with their awe-inspiring motorsport atmosphere right next to the Classic Course’s 18th green and savoured the evening programme of events. They were also thrilled by meeting up with pro golfers like the Porsche Brand Ambassador Paul Casey and Robert MacIntyre, the tournament’s top player, as well as the former Endurance World Champion and Porsche works driver Timo Bernhard. ‟It really is a perfectly organised and fantastic experience,” enthused a participant. This year’s international guests also included the members of Team Switzerland, who earned themselves an invitation by winning the World Trophy at the 2024 Porsche Golf Cup World Final in Mallorca.

Le Mans winner Bernhard: ‟A really cool memory”

The two Brand Ambassadors Paul Casey and Timo Bernhard rang in the 2025 Porsche Singapore Classic at a special meet-and-greet. In fine spirits, the world-class athletes talked to each other enthusiastically about their passions and discovered they had some things in common. Casey, the former world No. 3, gave newcomer Bernhard his first golf lesson and then the Le Mans overall winner let the golfer in on some of the secrets behind his historical fastest lap around Nürburgring’s Nordschleife. ‟He did incredibly well with the golf club. There were some great shots,” enthused Casey. ‟It was pretty cool.” Bernhard added, ‟When I see Paul on the golf course, I see the sparkle in his eyes. I can identify with that. Motorsport is the thing I love. It’s not an occupation. It’s what I am.”

Englishman Casey was visibly thrilled in the tournament week by the event. ‟There’s a special vibe here. Everybody here at the Porsche Singapore Classic knows what I am talking about. Porsche events have an energy around them which is always so positive and engaging and fun. That comes from the people, and it comes from the brand,” said the 15-time DP World Tour winner.

Porsche in Golf

Porsche has been involved in golf since 1988 through the Porsche Golf Cup. One of the company’s most successful customer events, the tournament series has developed into an international event in which over 16,000 Porsche customers recently took part in 229 worldwide qualifying tournaments. The sports car manufacturer started its involvement in professional golf in Germany in 2015 when becoming the title sponsor of the DP World Tour’s prestigious Porsche European Open. In order to expand its global activities, Porsche has been acting as the title sponsor of the Porsche Singapore Classic in the important Asian market since 2024. Car partnerships at US PGA Tour and DP World Tour tournaments, such as the Omega European Masters in Crans Montana as well as in women’s golf at The Amundi Evian Championship, round off its worldwide commitment in professional golf. Launched in 2017, the Porsche Golf Circle is also highly successful. The international community for keen golf-playing Porsche customers gives members the opportunity to enjoy exclusive golfing experiences at unique locations and at professional tournaments. Paul Casey has been complementing the Porsche family as the first Brand Ambassador from the game of golf since 2020.
