保时捷为 Derek Bell 八十岁生日祝寿

Derek Bell 仍然保持着他特有的微笑，这个微笑让赛道上的许多对手感到恐惧：这种微笑温暖，同时也代表着对胜利十足信心。今天，这位英国车手迎来了他的八十岁生日。

“祝我们的前厂队车手生日快乐，Derek Bell 是一名相当成功的保时捷车手，在长达 35 年间，断断续续驾驶各种保时捷赛车。” 保时捷赛车运动部门主管 Thomas Laudenbach 表示。

1941 年 10 月 31 日，Bell 出生于伦敦郊区，在 23 岁时，他在英国的俱乐部赛事中开始了他的职业生涯，仅仅一年后，也就是 1965 年，他参加了英国三级方程式锦标赛。他的天赋很快展现出来，并迅速升级到欧洲二级方程式锦标赛和一级方程式锦标赛。这位英国车手首次耐力赛城市就是在 1970 年的勒芒萨森赛车场，他的最后一场耐力赛也是在勒芒，不过已经是 1996 年的事了。他参加了至少 26 场勒芒，并且 5 次夺冠，其中有四次是驾驶的保时捷赛车。

首次以厂队车手身份参加勒芒

“我第一次为保时捷出战勒芒是在 1971 年。在周末的测试赛中，他们发现我在慕尚大直道上尾速达到了 396 km/h。我知道我们速度很快，但不知道有那么快，毕竟我之前只在希斯罗机场的一次飞机起飞时体验过这种速度。这就是我在勒芒驾驶保时捷赛车最初的样子。”他回忆道。

另一件让他至今难忘的事情是赛车的可靠性。“那么长的时间里，只有一次遇到了故障。” 以保时捷的角度来说，一切皆有可能，这位 80 岁的老人说，“他们总是胸有成竹，能够确保赛车安全稳定运转，这是他们的工作。” Bell 在 1981 年驾驶 936/81 赢得勒芒冠军是他最美好的记忆。“在第一次自由练习赛之前，我甚至没有坐进过车里，但我们仍旧获得了杆位，并且领先了整场比赛并赢得第一。因为某种程度上来说那是一次复出，所以对我来说是一个非常难忘的时刻。我非常感谢保时捷给了我机会。” 寿星说道。
