When the first two Australia-bound Porsche sports cars arrived in Melbourne in 1951, company founder Ferdinand Porsche could not have imagined the impact his creations would have on the country’s automotive landscape. To celebrate Porsche‘s 75-year Australian journey, Porsche Cars Australia has chosen four models from its catalogue and combined them with famous elements of the country‘s vast natural landscape.
Unveiled at this year’s Formula 1® Australian Grand Prix, each Porsche in this unique collection – a Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, a Macan 4S, a Taycan 4S Cross Turismo and a Cayenne S – takes its styling and configuration inspiration from iconic settings found in Australia’s north, south, east and west.
“These four cars symbolise the legacy and future of Porsche in Australia,” says Daniel Schmollinger, CEO and Managing Director of Porsche Cars Australia. “They showcase Porsche’s local and global heritage by aligning our timeless design with regional identity, culture, lifestyle and purpose.
“Customers who choose any of these four Porsche models can join our 75-year celebrations by using the Porsche online car configurator to specify their new car inspired by these commemorative specifications. They can also tailor these configurations to suit their individual needs.”

GO EAST: Taycan 4S Cross Turismo
Australia’s eastern coastline, specifically the ocean-front ridges along Queensland and New South Wales, was the inspiration for this special Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo.
Finished in Paint to Sample Ipanema Blue Metallic, this car looks like it has just emerged from the turquoise waves at Snapper Rocks, one of the Gold Coast’s famous surfing spots. The colour is a fitting tribute to the seemingly endless blue currents that splash against Australia’s eastern-most edges from Noosa down to Byron Bay and all the way to Newcastle, Sydney’s Northern Beaches and the vast expanse of the New South Wales South Coast.
The 21-inch Taycan Exclusive Design wheels, finished in high-gloss Black and fitted with Crayon aero blades, hint at the varieties of marine life and coral formations living deep under the waves.
The Glacier Iceblue four-point LED daytime running lights in the tinted HD-Matrix LED headlights echo the fluorescent blue irises of the Pacific Blue Eye fish (Pseudomugil signifier), a local resident in these waters.
Up top, the Panoramic Roof with Variable Light Control is the ideal way to enjoy the eastern coast’s bright blue sky on the way to riding its bright blue waters. And the roof rails in Aluminium are the perfect mount for a surfboard.
Inside, the two-tone Black / Crayon leather interior echoes the warm sands and shade of Australia’s eastern beaches. The 18-way Adaptive Sports Seats (front) with seat centres in contrasting Dark Night Blue leather offer ventilation for hot summer days on the road to the beach, and the 4+1 seating means up to five people can enjoy a surfing safari. Just ask Australian pro surfer Nikki van Dijk, who drove a silver Taycan Cross Turismo as her beach wheels when she returned home to Victoria’s Phillip Island recently.

Decorative interior stitching in Speed Blue is a fitting Pacific Ocean touch and the insulated privacy glass filters out Australia’s UV rays and the sounds of Sydney traffic on the way to Bronte, Bondi or Tamarama.
Along with its Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur details, the GO EAST Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo features several Porsche Sonderwunsch (‘special request’ personalisation) touches. They include ‘75 Years of Porsche in Australia’ bespoke vehicle keys (with key cases) painted to match the exterior, bespoke interior floor mats embossed with ‘75 Years of Porsche in Australia’, as well as bespoke door sill guards in brushed Aluminium in Black customised with ‘GO EAST’ & Taycan logo illuminated in Blue.
With a driving range of 506 kilometres from a full charge*, the Taycan 4S Cross Turismo is the ideal sports tourer for chasing Australia’s famous eastern coastal waves. And with Porsche Destination Charging available at different points, exploring the edges that face the Pacific blue becomes a simple plug-and-play affair.
Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo
The Taycan Cross Turismo is the ideal all-electric sports car all-rounder. This is Porsche‘s first Cross Utility Vehicle (CUV), which means it combines the precise handling of a sports car with the long-distance touring comfort of a sedan while offering nearly as much space as an SUV.
The Porsche Taycan 4S Cross Turismo is made for active lifestyles. This versatile electric sports car delivers instant driving excitement with its Porsche E-Performance all-wheel-drive powertrain, which comprises a permanent synchronous electric motor on each axle powered by the 105.0 kWh (gross) Porsche Performance Battery Plus. The resulting maximum 440 kW of power and 710 Nm of torque (Overboost Power with Launch Control) delivers a 0 – 100 km/h acceleration time of 3.8 seconds, thanks in part to the two-speed transmission on the rear axle (the front axle is fitted with a single-speed transmission).
The car’s 800-volt architecture and its 320 kW of peak Direct Current (DC) charging power means recharging from 10 percent to 80 percent state of battery charge can take as little as 18 minutes #.
The high-tech chassis and suspension have been engineered to handle light off-road driving and gravel roads. Adaptive air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) deliver Porsche sports car handling and luxurious ride comfort on the open road. The optional Off-Road package offers an extra 30 millimetres of ground clearance, making it even more capable when exploring Australia’s vast landscape.

* The published kilometre (km) range is a combined (high) figure based on results from Porsche AG under controlled test conditions conducted in accordance with the Worldwide Harmonized Light Vehicle Test Procedure (WLTP). The actual achievable real world km range can be less than the WLTP test result, depending on numerous factors such as speed, traffic and weather conditions, driving habits, elevation change, how much weight the vehicle is carrying, use of vehicle features/accessories such as heating or air-conditioning, and wheels/tyres among others.
# Charging times are based on rates observed during Porsche AG testing on a test vehicle in controlled test conditions using a high speed DC charger for vehicle comparison purposes only. The rates of charge you experience will differ depending on a number of factors such as the ambient conditions, battery size, the amount of charge the battery has and the type of charger. Public DC chargers are typically faster than AC chargers installed at residential premises. We recommend charging to 80 per cent to assist in maximising your vehicle’s battery range and battery life over time.
