Having qualified fifth and sixth, Wehrlein and Müller were circulating inside the points with the Porsche 99X Electric, after an early appearance for the Taycan Turbo GT safety car on the streets of Monte Carlo. Heading into the Rascasse hairpin, Müller collided with the rear of Wehrlein as the field slowed, causing a puncture for the German. After completing a lap with the damaged tyre, and then making a second visit to the pit lane to serve his Pit Boost, Wehrlein failed to score points. With a damaged car, Müller recovered to the points before two post-race penalties for collisions dropped him to P11.
Ticktum had claimed his second Formula E pole position for Cupra Kiro, and led the early stages of the 29-lap race, reaching the chequered flag in third, before a post-race penalty for a late collision dropped him to P12. Teammate Martí was promoted and took his first rostrum in the all-electric championship after starting P15, in the process also becoming the first Spaniard to reach the podium on his ninth start.
Racing for Charity
Under the motto Racing for Charity, Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG is making a strong social statement in the current Formula E season, supporting seriously ill children worldwide. For every race lap completed by its two factory-run Porsche 99X Electric, the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer donates 400 euros to the charitable organizations Kinderherzen retten e.V., Interplast Germany e.V., and the Ferry Porsche Foundation. After Nico Müller completed the maximum number of laps at the ninth race of the season in Monaco, and with Pascal Wehrlein completing 28 out of 29 laps, the donation amount stands at 238,800 Euros.
Comments on the Monaco E-Prix
Florian Modlinger, Director Factory Motorsport Formula E: “This result was not what we wanted today, especially after good starting positions with P5 and P6. Unfortunately, there was contact between both cars, which led to a puncture for Pascal, and meant he was unable to score any points. Well done to our customer teams Cupra Kiro and Andretti Formula E, after securing strong results with P3 and P4, and therefore, points for Porsche in the manufacturers’ standings. Tomorrow is another chance and we will try to fight for the win and our first podium in Monaco. It will be a more energy-sensitive race than today, but qualifying will still be important, and the key to having a good race. We really want to do well as it will be the 100th race of our factory team.”
Pascal Wehrlein, Porsche factory driver (#94): “It was a tough day after suffering a puncture, where I couldn’t do much. Obviously, I am very unhappy with how this race went because the pace was good. But again, it’s not come together here in Monaco. We will now focus on tomorrow which is another chance for a strong result. The good thing is the car was quick again today, and we will try to make the most of it.”
Nico Müller, Porsche factory driver (#51): “It was a day that could have ended much better for the team. First of all, I’m very regretful, and very sorry, to Pascal, his crew and the whole team after we ended up having contact in one of the Monaco melees, let’s say. I was trying to defend from behind, we were trying to protect each other, but still ended up touching. It’s exactly what you don’t want, and after I tried to survive without the front wing on the car. We’ll try and do better tomorrow.”

Porsche in Formula E
As the reigning Teams’ and Manufacturers’ World Champion, Porsche contests its seventh Formula E season in 2025/2026. In addition to the factory Porsche Formula E Team, the US customer team Andretti Formula E competes with the Porsche 99X Electric of the latest generation GEN3 Evo. A second Porsche customer team, Cupra Kiro, also participates, relying on 99X technology from the previous generation GEN3. In Formula E, the brand gains valuable insights for its production sports cars.
