Porsche and Assetto Corsa are bringing a range of vehicles to the virtual track, from one of the brand's first racing cars, the 718 RS 60 Spyder from 1960, to the Le Mans legend of the 1980s, the 962 C, and the current 919 Hybrid LMP1 car.

Porsche has made unprecedented efforts to ensure that the historical motorsport vehicles offer realistic driving behaviour, which is why Kunos Simulazioni, the Italian developers behind the racing simulation, worked closely with the Porsche engineers. In addition, race logs and development documents were gathered from the historical archive at the Porsche Museum and analysed in minute detail.

There are three Porsche Packs available for Assetto Corsa with a total of 24 historical and current vehicles; the third and, for now, last Porsche Pack is celebrating its release today. Owners of a PlayStation 4 or Xbox One will need to wait until January 2017.
