Important career steps

A chance for up-and-coming players – fostering youngsters is also very important for Porsche in tennis. In addition to the Porsche Talent Team, which aims to support young players stepping up to the pro tour, the Porsche Junior Team forms the second pillar of the development strategy. Porsche and the “Deutscher Tennis Bund” (DTB – the German Tennis Association) therefore provide better training facilities and a more intensive coaching for the talented juniors.

Some Porsche Junior Team members still go to school. The aim is for them to receive the best possible individual support so that they have a professional environment at home. With this broad basis, the DTB wants to guide even more players via the world junior rankings to the junior Grand Slams where they can gain valuable experience for the next stages of their careers.

Tamina Kochta (Year of birth: 2009), Mariella Thamm (2009), Ida Wobker (2010) und Sonja Zhenikhova (2008) are all currently supported in the Porsche Junior Team.
