From a displacement of 3.4 litres, the 991 911 Carrera  initially developed 350 PS. The S models achieved 400 PS with a displacement of 3.8 litres and the 911 GTS even managed 430 PS. But there was more. The 911 GT2 RS could deliver 700 PS and reach speeds of up to 340 km/h, making it the fastest series-production 911 ever. In the 520 PS, 4.0-litre 911 GT3 RS, Porsche offered a naturally aspirated boxer engine fitted with the very best of motorsport technology. After the 2015 model update, the Carrera models used twin turbochargers and featured an engine displacement of 3.0 litres. Depending on the model variant, Porsche was able to deliver a power output of between 370 and 450 PS for these cars. For the first time, a 911 Carrera S with PDK and Sport Plus could accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in less than four seconds.
