Every show lives from and with its main players – this is the same with the Porsche Museum. We present twelve heroes on wheels online.
23 metres high, glazed and facing north: that is the Porsche Museum, standing immediately next to the Porsche headquarters in Zuffenhausen. Since January 2009, over 80 vehicles – from the first Porsche designs through to the latest generation of the Porsche 911 – have been on show in the 5,600 square metre exhibition area futuristically designed by the Vienna architects office of Delugan Meissl.
Whereas the bold architecture of the building reflects the uniqueness, self-assurance and awareness of traditions of Porsche, the exhibition keeps the company history alive with sports cars ready to spring into action at any time taken from the "Museum on Wheels". Some of the heroes of the museum are exhibited in a picture gallery containing illustrations by Helge Jepsen:
A guide of the Porsche Museum is available to provide a very special insight into an exhibition currently without visitors.
