9 minutes, 11 seconds of speed

In episode 7 of 9:11 Magazine, everything is linked to the topic of “speed”. Over five chapters, the online TV series features daring world-record chasers, passionate racing drivers and dynamic sports cars.

1. Speed Secrets

Four laps, four times, in less than seven minutes: The 911 GT3 RS passed its baptism of fire at the Nürburgring with flying colours. The motorsport team at Porsche provides an insight into the work that goes into such an outstanding performance.

2. Speed trial

Jean-Claude Rude wanted to be the fastest cyclist in the world. In 1978, he launched a daring world record attempt in the slipstream of a Porsche 935 Turbo Martini. Behind the wheel: Le Mans legend Henri Pescarolo.

3. Ms. Speed

Christina Nielsen’s love for speed beganin the cradle. Today, she lives out her dream on the world’s race tracks. 2018 will see the Danish driver take on the 24 Hours of Le Mans in a Porsche.

4. The Art of speed

Witness to legendary races: To this day, the posters by graphic designer Erich Strenger convey the adrenaline and racing heartbeat associated with Porsche’s greatest victories, and are examples of the unique art of putting speed on paper.

5. Made for speed

A true rarity: Only 21 units of the Porsche 911 GT1 Evo were built. The fact that road-approved versions of this racing car were ever built is due to a very special rule.

9:11 Magazine

At the link 911-magazin.porsche.com/en, the sports car manufacturer presents entertaining and interesting features from the world of Porsche. These features cover a whole range of issues, from the introduction of new vehicles and the Porsche experience through to significant milestones in the company’s history. The online TV series complements the Porsche customer magazine entitled “Christophorus” and, like the magazine, is published five times a year in both German and English. Additional video footage and photos are available for use by journalists.
