Tandy and Jaminet complete the line-up in the #75 car at Le Mans

The Porsche Penske Motorsport works team has finalised its driver line-up for its third Porsche 963 at this year’s 24 Hours of Le Mans. UK driver Nick Tandy and Frenchman Mathieu Jaminet join forces with Felipe Nasr from Brazil in the cockpit of the No. 75 hybrid prototype. Works driver teammate Matt Campbell from Australia supports the team at the highlight of the year as the reserve driver.

With ten starts in the world’s greatest endurance race under his belt, Nick Tandy brings a wealth of experience. In 2015, the UK racer secured overall victory at the wheel of the Porsche 919 Hybrid. For Frenchman Mathieu Jaminet, the race in June marks the second outing on the Circuit des 24 Heures. The local hero turned his first laps in Le Mans at the wheel of the Porsche 911 RSR in 2019. Felipe Nasr, who had already been selected as the driver in the No. 75 car when entries closed for the 24-hour race, can look back on three races at the Sarthe so far.

American Dane Cameron, Michael Christensen from Denmark and Frenchman Frédéric Makowiecki share driving duties in the Porsche 963 with the starting number 5. The No. 6 sister car is helmed by Kévin Estre from France, Belgium’s Laurens Vanthoor as well as three-time outright Le Mans winner André Lotterer from Germany. The customer squad Hertz Team JOTA has nominated works driver António Félix da Costa from Portugal, Britain’s Will Stevens and Yifei Ye to drive the No. 38 car. The Chinese driver receives support from Porsche Motorsport Asia-Pacific.

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 91st edition is contested on 10/11 June. In its bid for overall victory in the new hypercar class, Porsche faces competition from manufacturers such as Ferrari, Cadillac, Toyota and Peugeot.
