It’s the dream every car enthusiast has had. Wake up in a stunning location, get behind the wheel of a Porsche 911 and cruise along epic roads until you reach the destination of the day. At night, it’s the same dream - and next morning? New Porsche 911, new roads and new adventures. For more than 20 years, Porsche Travel Experience has offered the fastest cure of wanderlust known to man, and since 2018, the program has appropriately had a bespoke branch in the United States - the nation that defines the road trip.

Colorado

A journey with Porsche Travel Experience typically spans over six nights in premium accommodation and five days in the driver’s seat. After a welcome dinner on the evening of the arrival, the next morning provides the first opportunity to turn the key – left of the steering wheel, of course – and hit the road.

All routes are carefully curated to deliver the best possible driving experience, from grand touring on the highway to carving switchbacks on the side of a mountain. The cars for the job always provide a unique chance to sample the current model line-up and include a selection of Porsche 911 variants. At the moment: Carrera S, Carrera 4S, Carrera S Cabriolet and Carrera 4S Cabriolet. Next year adds the top-of-the-line 911 Turbo S to the mix.

California

Along the way, stops are planned for sights and gourmet meals. Porsche Travel Experience is hosted as a group journey, and the social element is key. Dinners and optional activities, from boating to hot air balloon flights, offer plenty of opportunity for participants to create friendships and memories with fellow travelers.

Since launching a U.S. program in 2018, Porsche Travel Experience has driven the coasts of California, the legendary Route 66 and the mountains of Colorado. Up next is a Fall Foliage tour of the picturesque Northeast where just a few seats remain open. Surrounded by the cascading colors of the changing leaves, participants will pass through destinations such as Lake Placid, NY, and Woodstock, VT. All the while, a flat-six engine will be singing behind them, powering the quest ahead.
