As California carefully eases business restrictions, the Porsche Experience Center Los Angeles is continuing to expand its service offering by reimagining Restaurant 917 as an outdoor venue, 917 (K)afe.
“Expect the same level of impeccable service and incredible food in a unique, casual environment,” said Chef Matt Lee. “The menu is focused on classic comfort cuisine sourced locally, and we’re changing it up constantly so it’s always worth coming back for a second taste.”
917(K)afe is open from 11:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and the third Sunday of every month. A menu of traditional and fusion style cuisine prepared by our classically trained chef features entrées such as Ora King salmon with miso cauliflower puree and citrus butter. The menu also includes a new vegan entrée of eggplant schnitzel with smoked tomato sauce, organic red quinoa, brocolini and pickled vegetables. Enjoy a meal with beautiful views of the track, or enjoy a cocktail, like a 917 Old Fashioned, for an unforgettable experience.
917(K)afe, located on the Speedster Patio overlooking the driver development track, follows CDC and LA County DPH recommendations and guidelines for safe outdoor dining. The Speedster Café remains operational, as well, for a coffee, specialty drink, or quick snack with limited indoor seating, and is open from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday and the third Sunday of every month.
“The area of the Speedster Patio we are using for 917 (K)afe is even closer to the high octane entertainment on the driver development track. It’s the exact feeling you come to the PEC for,” said Ayesha Coker, Director of Experiential Marketing at Porsche Cars North America (PCNA). ”We’re excited about the potential of 917 (K)afe and we are looking into making it a more permanent part of the Experience Center if things go well.”
