Occupants of this special edition were treated to a journey in time through half a century of the 911. Nostalgic details evoked the beginnings of the legendary sports car. As in the early 911s, the fabric centre sections of the part-leather sports seats featured the Pepita houndstooth pattern. The instrument numbers glistened in green as they had 50 years prior and the dials were picked out in white. The 20-inch wheels of the Porsche 911 Carrera S 50th Anniversary Edition reinterpreted the classic Fuchs wheels with a modern flourish, while the side windows featured chrome trim. The rear end of this 2013 911 was also strikingly broad – a wide body normally reserved for the all-wheel-drive models. The 294 kW (400 PS) sports car did the sprint to 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. Its top speed was 298 km/h. The special edition from Zuffenhausen was limited to 1,963 units, a nod to the year of the launch of the 911. The car – now 10 years old – was offered in Black and the special colours solid Graphite Grey and Geysir Grey Metallic.
