The Porsche pair turned heads as they cruised through Melbourne’s inner city in a open-top red 911 Targa 4S valued at over $300,000.

“I’m a big tennis fan and a Maria Sharapova fan too so it was great to be able to give her a ride to Rod Laver Arena in one of the latest 911 sports cars,” said Webber, who is on summer vacation in Australia.

World number two Sharapova is in red hot form leading into the Australian Open, fresh and confident after a brilliant win in the Brisbane International last week.

Webber will again spearhead Porsche’s racing activities in 2015 as the German marque aims for a record 17th win at the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans sports car endurance race.
