Headed by the world No. 1 Aryna Sabalenka, the world’s best players will be coming to Stuttgart. The three-time runner-up and recent winner of the WTA Masters tournament in Miami will be joined by the two-time Stuttgart champion and Porsche Friend Iga Swiatek (Poland/No. 2) and the American superstars Coco Gauff (No. 3) and Jessica Pegula (No. 4). It means the world’s top four ranked players will be contesting the WTA 500 Event. “I’m looking forward to returning to Stuttgart,” said Coco Gauff, the reigning US Open champion and winner of the WTA Finals. “The tournament is one of the best in the calendar and a great start to the European clay court season.”
The other Top 10 players in the Porsche Arena are the only 17-year-old shooting star Mirra Andreeva (No. 6), the sensational winner of the WTA Masters tournaments in Indian Wells and Dubai, as well as Jasmine Paolini (Italy/No. 7), Qinwen Zheng (China/No. 9) and Emma Navarro (USA/No. 10). A total of 15 players ranked in the Top 20, including five Grand Slam winners, will be competing (as of the entry list dated 21 March 2025).
“It fills us with pride that we this year are once again able to present our public with such a superb field. Eight Top 10 players, including the best four, that’s pretty difficult to beat. The trust the players place in us year in, year out, is a huge spur,” said Tournament Director Markus Günthardt at the well-attended Media Talk in the Stuttgart Porsche Brand Store. Together with host Dr. Sebastian Rudolph, Vice President Communications, Sustainability and Politics at Porsche AG, as well as the Operating Tournament Director Anke Huber, he informed everybody present at the media session – moderated by Andrea Petkovic – about the latest news relating to the world-class tournament.
“We bring world-class sporting action to Germany by means of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix. The tournament is one of the highlights in international women’s tennis. We have been offering an emotional brand experience ever since 1978, and it’s one that transcends far beyond the city boundaries. A visit to the Porsche Arena is an experience for the whole family,” said Dr. Sebastian Rudolph. “Porsche thus also embraces its societal responsibility. Through the Aces for Charity fundraiser, we support social projects with every ace that is struck – together with our partners, the Stuttgarter Kinderstiftung and the Stiftung Agapedia for children.”
