A complete reinterpretation of an entire vehicle class, a daring idea, a balancing act between driving dynamics and comfort - and completely free of compromises. The Panamera turned the luxury automobile class upside down when it appeared. That was ten years ago. Porsche gave him a special model for his birthday. Now I'm upside down.

The Panamera has always been the Gran Turismo, the car for the fast long distance, the car with the truly breathtaking comfort with even more breathtaking dynamic capabilities. Whether non-stop across Europe, full throttle over the Yas Marina Circuit or at the steering angle limiter in the drift at the Porsche Driving Experience in Finland - it seems as if no task is impossible for the Panamera.

King of cool

The fact that he nevertheless appears elegant and unobtrusive is not least due to his style, which unmistakably speaks only one language: Porsche. And with the 10 Years Edition, Porsche has given him a very special gift. Of course, only one colour comes into question, even if twelve different colours are part of the standard scope of the special model, because it simply has to be black. Whether now in the full depth of the Black uni lacquering or with the little bit more gloss of the Jet Black metallic is a matter of taste.

This is the only way to show off the 21-inch Panamera SportDesign wheels with their metallic white gold finish. At first glance, they may not even stand out, because the silky finish is really discreet. But the second glance reveals it with full force: Golden rims.

The statement is perhaps also so impressive because the rest of the special model is kept elegantly subtle by the high-gloss black window shaft strips and the privacy glazing in the rear. The "white gold" theme is also reflected in the interior: coloured seams on seats, control panel, door parapets and the armrests in the doors form a truly subtle contrast to the standard black partial leather trim.

Not only good-looking, but also well equipped.

In fact, Zuffenhausen has not only optically put together a fine package for the 10 year edition, but has also given the best options in terms of series production. The equipment list contains almost everything you need in a comfortable long-distance sports car:

  • Metallic paintwork
  • LEDMatrixmain headlamp incl. Porsche Dynamic Light System Plus
  • ParkAssistant incl. rear view camera
  • Lane change assistant
  • Lane Keeping Assistant incl. traffic sign recognition
  • BOSE® Surround SoundSystem
  • Digital radio
  • Adaptive air suspension
  • Power Steering Plus
  • Front comfort seats (14-way, electric)
  • Porsche coat of arms on headrests
  • Seat heating front
  • Rear seat system with fold-out central armrest and separately foldable backrests
  • Panorama roof system
  • Privacy glazing
  • SoftCloseDoors
  • Automatic dimming door mirrors
  • Onboard AC charger with 7.2 kW (EHybrid models)
  • Doormats

Personally, I would choose the SportDesign Package and add the sports exhaust system with black tailpipes. That would really make it travel gold.
