Atlanta. Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA) is marking the next phase of the 2026 Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge, inviting Porsche Centers across the U.S. to restore, preserve, or individualize cherished heritage models using Porsche Classic Genuine Parts and their own craftsmanship. Now entering its sixth year, the Porsche Classic Restoration Challenge continues to unify enthusiasts, technicians, and Classic specialists around the shared mission of keeping Porsche history alive for future generations. Area competitions are scheduled for summer and early fall 2026 — with Area West at Werks Reunion at Monterey Car Week on August 14; Area South-Central at Artomobilia in Carmel, IN on August 28–29; and Area East at the Audrain Newport Concours in Newport, RI on October 2–3 — with the National Championship scheduled for October 2026.
“These teams represent the heart of the Restoration Challenge—passion, precision, and the belief that every Classic Porsche has another chapter to write,” said Jonathan Sieber, Senior Manager of Porsche Classic. “Each year, they push the boundaries of what’s possible with craftsmanship and creativity, proving that innovation and heritage can move forward together.”
As in previous years, participating Porsche Centers will compete in one of three categories:
Preservation: Maintaining originality while improving functionality.
Restoration: Returning vehicles to near-factory condition following original specifications.
Individualization: Creativity inspired by the Porsche Sonderwunsch philosophy of creating highly personalized, one-of-a kind vehicles crafted to an owner’s unique vision.
Throughout 2026, teams will share behind-the-scenes progress on social media using #porschechallenge26, giving fans the opportunity to follow along, learn from the restoration process, and support their favorite Center.
Celebrating the 2025 National Champions
In 2025, the competition set a new milestone, with a record 73 entries and national champions crowned during a showcase in Durham, North Carolina alongside Luftgekühlt 11. This year, teams are once again invited to demonstrate technical excellence and creative vision as they prepare for regional summer judging events and the National Championship in October 2026.
The 2025 program highlighted exceptional achievement across all categories:
Grand National & Individualization Champion: Porsche Bend — 1973 Porsche 911T, RSR Tribute, honored for its hand-formed steel RSR fender flares, vivid Viper Green finish, bespoke interior craftsmanship, and a 2.8-liter engine producing more than 280 hp.
Restoration National Champion: Porsche North Houston — 2004 Porsche 911 GT3, returned meticulously to factory specification including renewed paint protection, HVAC repairs, dry-ice cleaning, fresh engine seals, and drivetrain maintenance.
Preservation National Champion: Gaudin Porsche of Las Vegas — 1988 944 Turbo S, celebrated for an authenticity-first reconditioning that maintained original components—even hood struts and wiper blades—paired with careful mechanical revitalization.
People’s Choice Award: Harper Porsche — 1992 964 RS, chosen by event attendees for its standout presence and enthusiast appeal.
With more classic Porsche vehicles on U.S. roads than anywhere else in the world—and nearly 85,000 Porsche Classic Genuine Parts available—PCNA remains committed to supporting heritage, craftsmanship, and the next generation of Porsche specialists.
