Once again, the application phase involves two stages, the first of which is the Qualifying Series. This is open to all sim racers with enough points to hold a Class B4 licence through iRacing. On six Saturday race days, they will be pitched against each other behind the wheel of the digital Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. The programme includes a three-minute practice session, a qualifying session over two laps and a race spanning around 80 kilometres. The five best results will be included in the final ranking.
The top 15 finishers of the Qualifying Series are eligible to enter the Contender Series, which also encompasses six rounds between 21 September and 26 October 2024. These 15 will face the 15 sim racers who placed 16th through 30th in the final 2024 PESC standings. The race format of the Contender Series corresponds to that of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup: 18 minutes of practice, eight minutes of qualifying and two sprint races lasting around 15 minutes each.
In the 2025 PESC, the top 15 from the Contender Series will go up against the 15 leaders from the 2024 championship, who automatically qualify. They will be joined by wildcard nominations from national Porsche Esports championships. The grid line-up is capped at 35 participants.
