Golf Community celebrates perfect day at Porsche Golf Circle Festival Mallorca

The Porsche Golf Circle Festival at the Club de Golf Alcanada in Mallorca offers the Community excellent conditions when out on the course and a tremendous party in which the guests come together to celebrate the Porsche Golf Circle’s passions with live music in a relaxed atmosphere.

Spectacular golf experience in a laid-back atmosphere and a dream day in Mallorca – the second staging of the Porsche Golf Circle Festival also thrills the Community with its mixture of attractive tournament golf and a relaxed festival atmosphere in the grounds of the renowned Club de Golf Alcanada. In an impressive setting with a view of the Illa de Alcanada and its the famous lighthouse, the 62 participants from 11 nations enjoyed the perfect day, which presented their passions for Porsche and golf in an intoxicating festival flair.

The sporting challenge was provided by the 18-hole Porsche Golf Circle Festival tournament on Club de Golf Alcanada’s perfectly prepared course, which has already been the venue for the Porsche Golf Cup World Final on numerous occasions. The classes were divided up into gross, net A (-4 to 16.8) and net B (16.9 to 54). There were also special competitions, and they included a hole in one contest on the 17th hole where there was a TAG Heuer Connected Golf Edition Watch at stake. It however failed to find an owner on an otherwise highly successful day of golf.  There was a winner in the new “nearest to the beat” competition which fittingly transferred the festival’s musical character out onto the course. It involved hitting the ball on the 15th fairway as close as possible to an oversized music cassette. The prize – a music speaker.

Gathered to enjoy a relaxed time

Following on from the round of golf, the Community gathered to enjoy a relaxed time with live music, choice Balearic Food & Summer Drinks as well as attractions revolving around a Porsche Golf Circle Pro Shop with its exclusive range of products for members. As a part of the newly developed Porsche Golf Circle app, a spectacular off-course prize was also on offer during the festival. A ticket for the Icons of Porsche festival in Dubai in November was raffled amongst all the members that had posted something on the Porsche Golf Circle app during the day. In keeping with the highly diverse and lively event experience for the Porsche and golf afficionados in Alcanada, a DJane and her music prolonged the perfect day into the night.

“With its laid-back and cool character, the Porsche Golf Circle Festival unites the things that make the Porsche Golf Circle special in a perfect way – namely the shared enthusiasm for Porsche, golf and a wonderful coming together, also beyond the bounds of the Community,” says Carolin Kunz, Global Community Management at Porsche AG. “People from different cultures from all over the world, from Thailand to Europa and USA, gathered at the festival and celebrated the Community, its passions and the unique spirit of the Porsche family. The day in Mallorca with its fantastic atmosphere impressively displayed just how much positive energy is to be found within the Porsche Golf Community.“
