Porsche builds the 600,000th Cayenne

Porsche has produced the 600,000th Cayenne in Leipzig. The milestone vehicle mirrors the success story of the sporty off-road car.

The success of the Cayenne is closely connected to that of the whole company. In the first nine months of this year alone, the Stuttgart-based sports car maker has delivered more than 51,000 vehicles to customers of the model range all over the world. The newest model of the SUVs built in Leipzig is the Cayenne GTS, which celebrated its world premiere last week at the Los Angeles Auto Show.

And the 600,000th Cayenne, which recently rolled off the assembly line, was exactly this version of the car. "The Cayenne has grown to be the worldwide bestseller of Porsche over the last twelve years", says Siegfried Bülow, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche Leipzig GmbH. "As a team, we can be very proud of this. After all, it makes the Porsche quality seal renowned in more than 120 countries."
