Qualification for the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup begins

The selection process for the 2025 Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup (PESC) gets underway on Saturday, 13 July 2024, with the Qualifying Series. Sim racers from all over the world with the appropriate licence from the iRacing simulation platform are eligible to take part. The 15 best drivers will advance to the Contender Series, from where they can qualify directly for the 2025 PESC. This is one of the most prestigious online racing series in the world. Season seven of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup begins in February 2025.

Once again, the application phase involves two stages, the first of which is the Qualifying Series. This is open to all sim racers with enough points to hold a Class B4 licence through iRacing. On six Saturday race days, they will be pitched against each other behind the wheel of the digital Porsche 911 GT3 Cup. The programme includes a three-minute practice session, a qualifying session over two laps and a race spanning around 80 kilometres. The five best results will be included in the final ranking.

The top 15 finishers of the Qualifying Series are eligible to enter the Contender Series, which also encompasses six rounds between 21 September and 26 October 2024. These 15 will face the 15 sim racers who placed 16th through 30th in the final 2024 PESC standings. The race format of the Contender Series corresponds to that of the Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup: 18 minutes of practice, eight minutes of qualifying and two sprint races lasting around 15 minutes each.
