Porsche is adding two new models to its mid-engine sports car range: the 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 and the 718 Boxster GTS 4.0. The new mid-engine sports cars are powered by a naturally-aspirated four-liter six-cylinder boxer engine developing 394 hp and 309 lb.-ft. of torque.
“GTS” stands for a classic sports car formula. The Newsroom talked to Jan Roth, Director of the 718 model line, about the new six-cylinder derivative, the 718 GTS 4.0.
For the first time, the 718 Cayman GT4, 718 Spyder as well as the 718 GTS 4.0 models will be optionally available with the 7-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission.
