Porsche destination chargers expand across Abu Dhabi and Al Ain

Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi is transforming EV journeys with strategically placed destination chargers at premium locations in the region, supported by the brand’s vision for seamless and confident electrification

Abu Dhabi | Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi, operated by Ali & Sons, is taking a huge stride in making electric vehicle (EV) journeys smarter and more convenient in the UAE capital. By strategically placing Porsche Destination Chargers across premium locations in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain, they’re putting customers at the heart of an electrified future, one that blends luxury with sustainability.

Since 2021, Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi has been leading the way in expanding the emirate’s premium charging infrastructure. Over 50 Porsche Destination Chargers have already been installed at select locations, and with more on the horizon, they’re transforming how drivers experience electrification.

While this initiative is driven locally, it ties into Porsche Middle East’s broader vision of seamless EV accessibility across the region, showcasing the brand’s united commitment to ushering in an electric future.

Elevating charging beyond convenience

Inside a high-end hotel, a shopping mall, or even a golf course in Abu Dhabi, chances are you’ll find a sleek Porsche Destination Charger ready to power up your EV. This is no coincidence: far from being randomly scattered, these chargers are part of a meticulously planned network designed to fit the lifestyle of discerning Porsche owners and other EV drivers.

Whether you’re enjoying a fine dining experience, relaxing at a spa, or tackling a few holes at a world-class golf course, the chargers are placed where Porsche owners naturally spend time. It’s about making recharging feel as effortless as possible while you unwind, shop, or enjoy a quiet dinner. And for Porsche customers, that means charging your car is no longer a chore, it’s just part of the experience. The charging network is carefully curated to complement the lifestyle of our Porsche clientele.

The chargers themselves deliver an impressive 11kW of power, adding up to 50km of range per hour. Perfect for anyone spending a couple of hours at these premium venues. While these chargers bear the Porsche name, they’re equipped with advanced Type 2 AC connectors that are compatible with all GCC/UAE-spec EVs. However, loyal Porsche customers get a little something extra: free charging through the Porsche Destination network.

This thoughtful approach not only enhances convenience but is also inclusive by also supporting the wider community of EV owners.

2025 and beyond

The road ahead is just as ambitious as the network expansion so far. More Porsche Destination Chargers are planned for Abu Dhabi and Al Ain. But it’s not just about hitting a number; it’s about ensuring that every charger is placed in a destination that serves their customers best. Porsche Centre Abu Dhabi is keen to ensure that each new charger enhances the customer experience in thoughtfully selected premium locations.

Ultimately, it’s about creating value for the network and making Porsche owners feel that their needs are recognised at every touchpoint. With Abu Dhabi and Al Ain leading the way and ambitious goals set for the future, the brand is proving its commitment to an electric future that is as sophisticated as the vehicles it powers.

For drivers, it means fewer worries, more journeys, and the knowledge that electrification doesn’t just mean change, it means progress.

* As of 1 January 2025, there are 375 Porsche Destination Chargers installed and active across the Porsche Middle East, Africa and India (PME) region, with 63 of these in the Abu Dhabi and Al Ain area.
