Portugal premiere of Porsche Golf Cup World Final thrills Community

The 2026 Porsche Golf Cup World Final reached a special milestone with its tenth edition – and on new shores. After nine stagings in Mallorca, the season’s finale of the exclusive amateur customer tournament series, which was inaugurated in 1988, is held for the first time in Portugal. The 71 finalists savoured high-class golf courses, a wide range of side events and the special Community spirit around Lisbon.

The highlight of the Porsche Golf Cup season featured thrilling top-class golf, attractive Porsche moments, international encounters and atmosphere-laden evening events. A high-class competition for the overall titles at the World Final was served up by the international Porsche Golf Community around the tough Penha Longa Atlantic and Oitavos Dunes courses from 27 to 30 April. The title in the prestigious World Final Team Trophy was secured for the first time by Team Germany – a special winner of the tenth staging. The Porsche Golf Cup was launched in Germany in 1988 and has since become one of Dr. Ing. h.c. F. Porsche AG’s most successful international customer engagement initiatives.

71 golfers advanced to the World Final after 240 worldwide qualifying tournaments contested by about 19,000 players in 20 markets. The winners were determined – using Stableford scoring – in the World Final Team Trophy and in five individual classes (gross women and men plus three mixed net classes). “Our Porsche Golf Cups are more than a tournament – they are the expression of a worldwide Golf Circle community. When we come together at the World Final, it’s not just about competition; it’s about creating lasting memories and building connections that extend far beyond the course,” says Carolin Kunz, Global Community Management of the Porsche AG.

In the 2026 Porsche Golf Cup World Final team event, Team Germany finished first ahead of Team Chinese Taipei and Team Mexico and was, like all podium placers, honoured at a festive gala on the concluding evening. The gross classes were won by Charlotte Wille (Team Germany; HCP 3.9) in the women’s and Claes Nilsson (Team Sweden, HCP -1.6) in the men’s after posting a 3-under-par score on the first day in Penha Longa. The net classes went to Ke Ma (Team China, Net A), Juan Manuel Ortega Valles (Team Mexico, Net B) and Benjamin Levieux (Team Belgium, Net C).

“The Porsche Golf Cup World Final was an incredibly beautiful experience. We, Team Germany, only qualified about three weeks ago and it’s sensational that we’re now standing here as winners. The team spirit was incredible and kept me motivated to give it my all the whole time. I’m grateful to all the wonderful people from all over the world whom I had the chance to meet,” says the two-fold victor Charlotte Wille. Gross winner Claes Nilsson added: “I was truly impressed by the whole event – a fantastic experience from start to finish. Penha Longa is a beautiful and challenging course, and I felt very confident on the greens throughout the round. I am especially happy to have won the gross prize. It’s a special memory I’ll carry with me for a long time.”

At the 2026 World Final, the finalists once again had the chance of winning a special hole-in-one prize. The reward for a dream shot on the Penha Longa Atlantic Course’s 15th hole and the Oitavos Dunes’ 12th: six months driving the new Porsche Cayenne Electric. None of the participants however managed an ace over the two rounds. Another exclusive prize went to the World Final Team Trophy victors. The four Team Germany members each received a limited-edition Porsche Design Chronograph 1 All Titanium. Overjoyed winners were also produced by the Road to World Final Challenge – victory in the digital competition recognising the commitment of the participants before and during the World Final by awarding points was shared by the Australian and Austrian teams.

There was not only joy amongst the top three in each class. The powerful spirit at the World Final was prevalent amongst the circle of 154 guests including accompanying persons and team captains irrespective of golfing success in, amongst other places, the World Final Players’ Lounge located at the Penha Longa Resort. The lounge served as the central meeting point during the whole event and offered participants the opportunity to get together in between the tournament rounds. A wide range of activities was also the order of the day for the accompanying persons – including their own tournament around the Penha Longa Atlantic Course and the chance to test drive the new Porsche Cayenne Electric when touring the Portuguese Riviera along winding coastal roads and through picturesque towns and villages.
