Porsche always remains Porsche: The character of the Porsche model line 911 seems to maintain, independently from the permanent technical development. For Porsche brand ambassador and test development driver Jörg Bergmeister this is one of the biggest efforts of Porsche. Setting benchmarks is what Jörg Bergmeister succeeded with his successful Motorsports career. Bergmeister won his first title at the Porsche Carrera Cup Germany in 2000.
About two decades later his efforts are remarkable: Jörg Bergmeister has won all important long distance races in Motorsports like Le Mans, Daytona, Sebring, at the Nürburgring, Petit Le Mans und at Spa. In addition, Bergmeister was very successful in the US and won five times the American Le Mans Series with the Porsche 911 sportscar. In combination with the victories at the 2006 Grand-Am Series these victories are unique among all professional drivers. In 2019 Bergmeister became World Champion in Le Mans with the Porsche 911 RSR at the GTE-Am class und finished his career as Porsche factory driver.
But Jörg Bergmeister remains at the Porsche sportscar family: as brand ambassador and test development driver of the model line 911 he is still driving on the race tracks for passing his comprehensive experiences from the GT-Motorsports.
