Porsche brings its renowned driving dynamics and extreme performance to the latest Cayenne. Set up for maximum performance and handling, the new Cayenne Turbo GT offers outstanding driving dynamics mixed with everyday usability in a practical, luxury SUV.

What is it?

As the world started to embrace family-sized SUVs in the late 1990’s, Porsche quickly realised the potential for a performance SUV and began work on the Cayenne.

Launched in 2002, the Porsche Cayenne quickly became a best-seller, establishing the performance SUV genre.

What’s new?

The Porsche Cayenne Turbo GT is the ultimate performance version of the Cayenne with more power and torque. It’s faster and more dynamic and it sits 15mm lower.

The exterior has a new front spoiler and cooling air intakes and the interior features a new infotainment system, Alcantara leather and sports seats front and rear.

Exterior

The Cayenne Turbo GT is finished in Artic Grey with 22-inch, GT design wheels in Deep Sea Blue and yellow brake calipers.

The front wheels are an inch wider over the Cayenne Turbo Coupé and the Turbo GT uses the Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake (PCCB) system as standard.

It has a lightweight carbon roof, an airblade in exterior colour with fins in Matt Black to complement the wheel arch extensions, door side trim and rear apron and carbon highlights on the diffuser.

Interior

Updated Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system has a new user interface compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.

Race-Tex highlights and a Carbon Interior Package of dashboard and door panel strips with inlays as well as an Accent Package of Black door handles, steering wheel trim and centre console highlights feature inside.

Exclusive Manufaktur touches include a multifunction GT Sports steering wheel, roof lining grab handles in Race-Tex with carbon inlays, seat console leather with Arctic Grey stitching.

Drivetrain

Four-litre twin-turbo V8 is Porsche’s most powerful eight-cylinder engine. 659 PS of power and 850 Nm of torque and an eight-speed Tiptronic S transmission.

Active Rear Wheel Steering reduces its turning circle at low speeds and improves driving stability at high speeds.

Porsche Ceramic Composite Brakes (PCCB) feature 10-piston brake calipers on the front (440mm discs) and 4-piston calipers on the rear (410mm discs).

Stats

0-100 km/h in 3.3 seconds and 305 km/h top speed.

Porsche set a new official SUV record around the 20.832 km Nürburgring Nordschleife with the Cayenne Turbo GT of 7:38.9 minutes.

Driving experience

The first turn of the wheel activates its Rear Axle Steering to reduce the turning circle in tight car parks, while enhancing long distance travel comfort and dynamics during sporty drives.

Its Titanium Exhaust emits a throaty roar on start-up before settling to a quiet rumble for around town driving and selecting the Sports Modes rewards with a reassuring bark on gear changes.

The Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilisation system comes into its own on windy roads, reducing body movement and improving roadholding at higher cornering speeds.
