Porsche Centre Mauritius celebrates an evening with a World Champion for a worthy cause

Porsche’s World Champion Formula E driver Pascal Wehrlein highlighted a Charity evening which raised Rs1 million for ‘Enn Rev Enn Sourir’ to help children suffering from cancer.

Mauritius | Porsche Centre Mauritius recently hosted an evening with 2023/24 Formula E World Champion and Porsche 99X Electric driver Pascal Wehrlein.

Wehrlein, who pulled off an outstanding performance in London last year to secure the ABB FIA Formula E Drivers’ World Championship for the Porsche Formula E Team, mingled with guests following a Q&A session.

During the session, he discussed his career journey, from DTM racing in Germany to being a reserve driver in Formula One, and his ultimate chase to become a world champion with Porsche in Formula E.

Held at Porsche Centre Mauritius on September 25, the evening included a charity auction where Pascal donated one of his race helmets to be auctioned to the highest bidder as well as the opportunity to attend one of his races next season.

The result was a windfall of Rs 1 million raised for the NGO ‘Enn Rev Enn Sourir’ in favour of children suffering from cancer.

“We could not have asked for a better evening of entertainment and insight from Pascal and all to support such a worthy cause like Enn Rev Enn Sourir,” said Dean Ah Chuen, CEO of Porsche Centre Mauritius.

“Once again, the Porsche community of Mauritius came together to support such a great and worthy cause because every child has the right to health, education and protection and every society has a duty to expand children’s opportunities to give them a better future. The tireless work Enn Rev Enn Sourir does every day is truly admirable and we were only too happy to do whatever we could to help this great organization with the icing on the cake having Pascal come out and support us as well,”

Customers had the opportunity to meet with Pascal after the formalities to get autographs, take photos and post selfies with the eight-time Formula E race winner who has also secured nine pole positions and six fastest laps.
