A special year is coming to an end – a year marking two milestones for Porsche.

In June, the brand celebrated 75 years of Porsche sports cars with a live show at the Porsche Museum in Zuffenhausen. Across five acts, the sports car manufacturer’s incredible story was told, together with trailblazers and co-travellers from over the decades. In September, the 911 turned 60, marking six decades of pure exhilaration and driving enjoyment. Over the generations, Porsche has turned the 911 into an icon – a cult classic for car lovers – while at the same time keeping it at the technological cutting edge with a steady flow of innovation.

This past year has also seen several world premieres: the third generation of the Cayenne was fundamentally overhauled with comprehensive changes to its powertrain, chassis, design and equipment. The 718 Spyder RS became the pinnacle of the mid-engined family. In June another Porsche dream took shape with the innovative concept car, Mission X. To mark 60 years of the 911, Porsche celebrated with a special edition built for maximum driving enjoyment: the 911 S/T. The 911 GT3 R rennsport – a spectacular circuit car for sports car enthusiasts and collectors – was unveiled at Rennsport Reunion. And last, but certainly not least, the Panamera closed out the year with its world premiere in Shanghai in November.

While 2024 will feature several Porsche world premieres, the automotive industry as a whole is looking ahead to a challenging year.

Until then, the Newsroom editorial team wishes our valued readers a Merry Christmas, a relaxing break and a Happy New Year.
