The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix will again be presenting the spectators with world-class tennis in the Easter week. “Sabalenka, Swiatek and Paolini’s confirmations all show the importance of the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix and are fantastically motivating for the whole team,” says tournament director Markus Günthardt. “We’re confident other top stars will sign-up for the tournament.”
Aryna Sabalenka
Aryna Sabalenka, the world No. 1 and the WTA Player of the Year in 2024, kicked off the 2025 season by winning in Brisbane. After her successes in the two previous years at the Australian Open, she once again reached the final and only narrowly missed out on a hat-trick. As for Stuttgart, she still has unfinished business in the city. After appearing in the 2021, 2022 and 2023 finals, the dream of a victory and of the winner’s car has gone unfulfilled. „I am excited to play the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix 2025 in Stuttgart and hope to see many spectators,“ said the hard-hitting righthander – she won her third Grand Slam title at the 2024 US Open – before her fourth appearance in the Porsche Arena.
Iga Swiatek
With 22 WTA titles to her name, Iga Swiatek is our era’s most successful woman tennis player. She celebrated five wins alone in 2024. The long-time world No. 1, who represents Porsche in her home country Poland as a “Friend of the Brand”, is an out-and-out clay court specialist. No wonder that she has already won the French Open on four occasions. She also triumphed at the 2022 US Open. The 2022 and 2023 Stuttgart winner is looking forward to returning to the Porsche Arena. “The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is one of my favourite tournaments. The Stuttgart crowd always produces a fantastic atmosphere,” said the passionate Porsche driver. “It motivates us players even more to display our best tennis.”
Jasmine Paolini
Jasmine Paolini is one of 2024’s most improved players. The Italian won the title in Dubai and was the runner-up at both the French Open and Wimbledon. The 29-year-old is currently world-ranked No. 4 in singles and is also very successful in doubles. Together with countrywoman Sara Errani, she crowned herself as the Olympic champion in Paris and won in Rome, Linz and Beijing in the previous year. After the end of the season, the Italians were named “Doubles Team of the Year” by the WTA. “I played in Stuttgart for the first time last year, and immediately felt at home,” says Jasmine Paolini. “I’m looking forward to enjoying the tournament’s special atmosphere once again.”
Singles final on Easter Monday
The 48th Porsche Tennis Grand Prix will be held from 12 to 21 April and therefore lasts one day longer than normal. Due to the public holiday bye-laws of the Federal State of Baden-Württemberg, it is not allowed to hold sports events on Good Friday (18 April). As a result, the singles final will be played on Easter Monday whilst the doubles winners will be determined as usual on Sunday.
Ticket sales
Tickets for the 48th Porsche Tennis Grand Prix are available as always via the official www.porsche-tennis.com tournament website or at Easy Ticket Service – in Internet at www.easyticket.de or by calling +49 711 / 2 55 55 55. The Easter weekend is already almost sold-out. There are only a few tickets still available.
Porsche in Tennis
The Porsche Tennis Grand Prix is the flagship of Porsche’s worldwide involvement in women’s tennis. First played in Filderstadt in 1978, the long-standing Stuttgart tournament has been held in the city’s Porsche Arena since 2006. It stands for tradition and innovation, as does the Porsche brand. As the most loyal sponsor of women’s international tennis, Porsche has accompanied the WTA’s oldest indoor event right from the start. Iga Swiatek and Maria Sakkari are “Friends of the Brand” in their home countries. As a premium partner of the “Deutsche Tennis Bund” (DTB – German Tennis Association) since 2012, the company fosters up-and-coming players in the Porsche Talent Team and the Porsche Junior Team.
