The new Porsche Canopy Tent: discover freedom, adventure and nature

For the past two years, the Porsche Roof Tent has offered camping accommodation with a cult factor. Now the luxury-brand outdoor experience can be extended, with the Porsche Canopy Tent adding more options for out in the open.

Free-standing weather protection on the beach, a cosy lounge at the campsite, or a practical secluded spot in the garden: just a few of the uses that spring to mind for the multifunctional Porsche Canopy Tent. A central valve enables the tent to be inflated in a few minutes. It can then be quickly anchored to the ground using the storm-resistant fastening set with reflective belts. The standard equipment includes a practical hand pump, a side panel with a transparent plastic window, a floor cover with Velcro fasteners, and a vehicle connecting tunnel. The latter is a weatherproof corridor from the canopy tent to the tailgate of a four-door Porsche.

The canopy tent was designed in collaboration with an industry-leading outdoor brand and Studio F.A. Porsche Zell am See. With its black and grey colour scheme and the silhouette of a mountain as a graphical element, the canopy tent is also a perfect visual extension of the Porsche Roof Tent. The Porsche Canopy Tent is now available to order from our sales partners for €1,547¹.

The canopy tent has a floor area of 2.30 by 2.30 metres. The side panel with the window has an integrated privacy screen that can be attached to the window. It can be rolled up and fixed with straps if an unrestricted view is preferred.

The square layout of the canopy tent and its sophisticated zip system allow the tent to be extended in a variety of ways. For example, an optionally available extension tent in a steep-face format can be attached to the canopy tent by means of a zip. The inner tent included in this optional extra can be used as a bedroom. Vents with built-in mosquito nets ensure sufficient ventilation. The range of accessories also includes two further side panel variants without a window or with an airy mesh fabric for insect protection. Multiple canopy tents can also be combined with the aid of a connecting element.

Sleeping with a perfect view: the Porsche Roof Tent

By adding further options for lovers of the outdoors, the Porsche Canopy Tent and the Porsche Roof Tent complement each other perfectly. The all-season, two-person tent comes in an exclusive hardcase that was developed at the Weissach Development Centre and co-designed by Studio F.A. Porsche in Zell am See. The hardcase construction can be installed on the roof transport systems of the 911 (GT, Cabriolet and Targa models not included), Macan, Cayenne, Panamera and Taycan – both with and without roof rails. It is quite the room with a view, with two side windows and a roof window as standard.

The Porsche roof tent can be set up quickly at the campsite. First, you open the lockable safety latches. Then you lift the hardcase slightly and open it up with the aid of two gas pressure shock absorbers. The foot zone of the floor is then folded out and stabilised using the integrated telescopic ladder. The tent is now already unfolded. The last step is simply to erect the tent and make it taut with the four poles. Buyers can choose between the Black/Light Grey and Black/Dark Grey hardcase, each of which is adorned with a matt black Porsche logo.

The optionally available accessories offer even greater comfort. These include a heated blanket and a shoe and bag organiser, as well as an inner tent. The quilted, double-layered insulation made of breathable polyester/cotton material combines with high-frequency-welded stitching to block cold draughts and conserve body heat. As you would expect from Porsche, handling the tent is easy and precise. It takes just a few minutes to attach the inner tent to the inside of the Porsche roof tent. All three windows and the main door can be rolled up for an open view of the surroundings.

Ready for adventure and day-to-day comfort: accessories from Porsche Design

Porsche Design has a whole range of accessories for enriching your personal outdoor adventure. For example, the PDS20 Outdoor Speaker offers a musical experience with high-end sound quality for out in the open. Its satin-finish, practically seamless aluminium housing in cylindrical form gives it a clean, puristic aesthetic. One of the two silicon rings provided in original Porsche colours can also be fastened between the layers – adding both a stylish accent and a practical means of transportation. The battery has a runtime of up to ten hours.

The double-walled Porsche thermal travel mug keeps hot drinks warm and cold ones cool. The Porsche crest adorns the outside of the mug and the lid is decorated with the Porsche logo. The power coating makes the cup particularly durable. Its approx. 460 millilitre capacity makes it the ideal on-the-go companion.
