The Jury Special Grand Prize at this year’s Festival Automobile International has been attributed to Porsche for its record of 18 overall victories in Le Mans. To celebrate this award, six Le Mans winning drivers were gathered together.
At the wheel of his private Porsche 911 GT3 RS, Romain Dumas and his co-driver Gilles de Turckheim won the RGT class against strong opposition from factory teams at the season-opening round of the World Rally Championship.
Two world class drivers are about to drive forwards on a new road: From the end of the season, Romain Dumas and Marc Lieb leave the LMP1-Team and their seats in the 919 Hybrid Le Mans prototypes to begin new tasks at Porsche.
After having won the world championship title for manufacturers, Porsche is determined to also take the drivers’ title at the final round of the 2016 FIA World Endur-ance Championship (WEC) on November 19 in Bahrain.
