Wright Motorsports celebrated their second podium result of this year‘s IMSA SportsCar Championship with Porsche works driver Patrick Long and Porsche Selected Driver Christina Nielsen. At round nine of the GTLM class, Earl Bamber and Laurens Vanthoor secured fifth place in the Porsche 911 RSR with the starting number 912.

At round eight of the IMSA SportsCar Championship on Sunday, the Porsche GT Team secured positions four and five on the Road America racetrack. In the GTD class, Porsche works driver Patrick Long and Porsche Selected Driver Christina Nielsen from Denmark celebrated their first win together in the Porsche 911 GT3 R.

Over a long stretch of the 24 Hours of Spa, the best Porsche 911 GT3 R was on a clear course for a podium result. However, a repeatedly lapped vehicle failed to see the #117 nine-eleven fielded by KÜS Team75 Bernhard and brought an abrupt end to the strong performance of the drivers Earl Bamber, Timo Bernhard and Laurens Vanthoor with five hours and 38 minutes to the flag.

Porsche clinched a podium spot at round seven of the IMSA SportsCar Championship in Lakeville. The Mid-Ohio winners Laurens Vanthoor and Earl Bamber finished third in the GTLM class with the Porsche 911 RSR.
