ORIGINALE 11 – the latest issue of the Porsche magazine ORIGINALE – invites readers to learn more about legendary vehicles, moving stories and dedicated craftsmanship – and to get to know the people who put their heart and soul into preserving this heritage.
The spotlight is placed on two special highlights. The first of these – the 911 Spirit 70 – combines 1970s styling with state-of-the-art technology. Thorsten Klein, Design Project Manager for Limited Series, and Volker Müller, Head of Colour and Trim at Style Porsche, provide insights into the design ideas that characterise this special model, of which just 1,500 examples were built. The 911 Spirit 70 not only adorns the front cover but also provides a stylish and exclusive accent in the form of its exterior colour, Olive Neo.
Another highlight are the reissued Porsche 911 repair manuals – volumes I and II – for the 911 F model up to 1971. Automotive journalist and historian Wolfgang Blaube reviews the reissued manuals, which have proved very popular with collectors and mechanics, and compares the material to his own originals.
918 Spyder: a special anniversary
Ten years after the end of production, the Classic team takes over responsibility for every vehicle. In an interview, Frank-Steffen Walliser, former project manager for the 918 Spyder and now CEO of Bentley Motors, discusses the challenges faced during the car’s development and explains how Porsche keeps vehicles like the 918 Spyder in perfect order with original spare parts – from paint to batteries.
The latest issue of ORIGINALE also offers exclusive insights, such as into Germany's first Porsche Classic Centre, which opened in Kassel in April 2025. Technology fans will also enjoy reading in fascinating detail about the new Classic Performance ‘Prototipo’ steering wheel, which is inspired by the racing successes of the early prototype era.
Enormous variety of individual customer requests
ORIGINALE 11 also showcases unique Sonderwunsch projects: the 911 GT3 RS Tribute to Jo Siffert, Luca Trazzi’s one-off 911 Speedster, and a Factory Re-Commission Carrera GT in Amethyst Metallic demonstrate the large breadth of individual customer requests.
The magazine concludes by looking back at international events such as Gipfeltreffen 2024, the Fjordluft Festival in Norway, Fuori Concorso by Lake Como, and the Goodwood Revival in the UK. Readers will also find a preview of 2026 that gives a look ahead to events that will feature exciting projects from the Sonderwunsch department, as well as a glimpse into the portfolio of more than 80,000 genuine parts for classic Porsche models.
