A smash hit at Battersea
Porsche Cars Great Britain – Porsche NOW pop-up store: With iconic Porsche cars, racing simulators, live DJ sets and a tennis superstar stopping by to say hello, Porsche NOW made a huge impression on its seven-week stay at London’s newest retail hotspot
British tennis sensation and Porsche Brand Ambassador Emma Raducanu joined guests at the opening of a new Porsche NOW pop-up store at Battersea Power Station, a landmark building on the banks of the Thames that is now London’s most stylish shopping and leisure complex.
Porsche NOW stores have been appearing all across the globe, bringing the excitement and fascination of the Porsche brand to a new urban audience, and sharing the dream that inspired Porsche founder Ferry Porsche to build his perfect sports car.
As well as displays of iconic Porsche models – from a stunning 356 to the 718 Cayman GT4 RS Clubsport and an all-electric Taycan – the store also staged a range of immersive attractions: there were racing simulators, a Porsche Design watchmaking masterclass, and a wealth of unique, curated art, some of which was created in-store. There was also Porsche merchandise, a ‘Sound of Porsche’ listening area, and a crew of knowledgeable, experienced Porsche retail staff, all of whom helped deliver a great experience for everyone who visited.
Tennis superstar Emma Raducanu was one of the first through the doors on opening night.
And 2021 US Open champion Raducanu was among the first through the doors on opening night. ‘I always loved the style of Porsche sports cars since one of my first coaches would turn up at training in a 911,’ she told us. Her status as a Porsche Brand Ambassador clearly means a great deal to her. ‘I saw some cool things tonight I didn’t expect, and in that way Porsche NOW has something for everyone.’
