Celebrating a dream
Porsche Australia & New Zealand – Company: Official Porsche Centres across Australia have honoured 75 exciting years of Porsche sportscars in a celebration of colour, fun and community.
Australia’s passionate Porsche owners and enthusiasts met at the country’s Official Porsche Centres earlier in the year to celebrate the brand’s 75-year success story, which began when Ferry Porsche realised his dream of a sportscar, the Porsche 356 ‘No. 1’ Roadster.
Australia’s newest Destination Porsche Centre added its official opening celebration to Porsche’s 75th anniversary festivities. The new Porsche Centre Perth in Osborne Park has been a magnet for Western Australia’s Porsche community, who enjoyed everything from getting up close to the new motorsport-derived 911 GT3 RS to fairy floss and fun for kids.
More family fun took place at Porsche Centre Melbourne, where face painting and easel artworks entertained the next generation of Porsche fans. The breathtaking sportscar display featured classics such as the famed 959 and Carrera GT along with modern masterpieces like the 935. Among the celebratory activities were fascinating technical talks about electric vehicle (EV) technologies and motorsport.
Up in the harbour city, Porsche Centre Sydney South added creativity to its festivities with an eight-metre-high mural painted live during the local celebrations. The captivating artwork featured a Porsche 911 and a Taycan in a vibrant scene, a visual broadcast of the colour-rich Driven by Dreams theme behind this year’s global celebrations and a perfect echo of the long rainbow-like line-up of classic Porsche sportscars in the showroom.
Porsche Centre Doncaster in Melbourne welcomed its local community with a Festival of Dreams event that showcased the pioneering and creative spirit of Porsche. Its celebrations included a unique showcase of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur using a clever fusion of sneakers and sportscars, achieved by teaming up with Australian streetwear retailer KICKSTW. This fascinating mash-up saw a sneaker painter-artist customise a special pair of Nike Air Force 1 “Fontaka” shoes to reflect the stunning individually crafted Porsche sportscars on display.
“The shared passion of our Porsche community is dynamic and deep.”

Further north in Queensland, Porsche Centre Gold Coast continued the Driven by Dreams theme with an exciting track day event for Porsche owners at Queensland Raceway. Guests enjoyed the chance to stretch their cars’ legs with guidance from Porsche Paynter Dixon Carrera Cup Australia racer David Russell. Back at the state-of-the-art showroom, the party combined the best elements from the worlds of art, motorsport, food and more. Guest discussion panels included founder of McElrea Racing, Andy McElrea, and Dr Dinesh Palipana OAM – Queensland’s Australian of the Year – who added extra fascination and discovery.
Porsche Centre Newcastle delivered a colour-saturated special-guest gala at the city’s famed Civic Theatre. The vibrant party wowed guests with fine dining and dancing, along with live performances inspired by Porsche’s vibrant Paint to Sample colour palette: Irish Green was the inspiration for a Frank Sinatra tribute, Guards Red for Elton John’s “Your Song”, and Riviera Blue was the colour behind Verve’s “Bitter Sweet Symphony”.
Lava Orange lit up the dance floor with a galaxy of hits from the 2000s. A fun-filled Family Day was also held at Porsche Centre Newcastle’s stunning showroom, Australia’s first Destination Porsche Centre.
Over at Porsche Centre Adelaide, artist and designer Jade Akamarre was presented with a collection of vibrantly coloured Porsche sportscars as inspiration for a special one-off artwork. This dazzling collection of high-performance muses gave the leading Indigenous artist the opportunity to pour her creativity into “capturing the dynamic, colourful and timeless essence of the Porsche brand” while honouring her culture and dreaming. Porsche Centre Adelaide capped its celebrations with a spectacular customer dinner inside Pilatus Aircraft’s beautifully styled aviation hangar.
Porsche Centre Willoughby’s classic sportscar showcase included a collection of original Porsche tractors, and Tasmania’s Porsche Centre Hobart celebrated in style at the famous Frogmore Creek winery in the Coal River Valley.
“The shared passion of our Porsche community is dynamic and deep,” said Daniel Schmollinger, CEO and Managing Director of Porsche Cars Australia. “It was a privilege to see so many of our owners, fans and their families enjoy this special milestone in the Porsche story.”
