The first all-electrically powered four-seat Porsche is ’The Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year’ at this year’s ’Festival Automobile International’ exhibition. Mark Webber was also awarded in Paris.
Porsche has proven pure creativeness, design and emerge of news trends with its Mission E. Therefore it was awarded – together with the Mazda RX-Vision – ’The Most Beautiful Concept Car of the Year’ prize by a panel of judges, consisting of leading figures from the worlds of automobile, media, architecture and fashion.
Race driver Mark Webber also gained a price at the “Festival Automobile International”. For his very successful 2015 season for Porsche the Australian and winner of the 2015 World Endurance Championship drivers’ title was awarded “The Festival Special Grand Prize” by the exhibition judges. His name has been added to motorsport’s roll of honour, alongside other great names such as Alain Prost and Jacky Ickx.
The Mission E – as well as Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo, den Aston Martin DBX oder den Mercedes Concept IAA – will be on show in the Dôme des Invalides until January 31st.
The Mission E at a glance
Four doors and four single seats, over 440 kW (600 hp) system power and over 500 km driving range. All-wheel drive and all-wheel steering, zero to 100 km/h acceleration in under 3.5 seconds and a charging time of around 15 minutes to reach an 80 per cent charge of electrical energy. Instruments are intuitively operated by eye-tracking and gesture control, some even via holograms – highly oriented toward the driver by automatically adjusting the displays to the driver's position.
