In Shanghai, around 75 Porsche Engineering employees work on automated driving, e-mobility and complex chassis and electrics/electronics systems. The site has cutting-edge test facilities and underlines the storied tradition of more than 25 years of engineering services in China.
It is a Porsche tradition that a GTS always sounds special and the Acoustics Department in Weissach has composed a sound with a strong character for the new Porsche Cayenne GTS Coupé. The sound issues from an optional twin-branch sports exhaust system featuring centrally located tailpipes.
The new Porsche 911 Turbo S rounds out the boxer engine family. The newcomer, equipped with two VTG turbochargers, joins a long and illustrious pantheon of predecessors. It embodies the passion and emotion, acumen and expertise of over seventy years of sports car design.
Since July 2016, Porsche Engineering has built up a team of software and function developers in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, who are responsible for new functions based on artificial intelligence (AI). The location benefits from an excellent academic environment and is working on solutions that will go into series production in the near future.
